Requirements:

  • Outlook Desktop app

 

Steps:

1.     In Outlook, click New Email

2.     In the New Email compose window, (pop out the window), click on Options in the menu bar

3.     Click on From, under the “Show Fields” section


 

4.     In the Address section of the email, click on From

5.     Click on Other Email Address

 



6.     In the ‘Send From Other Email Address’ pop-up window, click on From

 

 

7.     In the ‘Choose Sender Address: Offline Address List’ pop-up window, type the first name of the user/group you want to send from, and select the desired user/group from the list.

8.     Click OK.

 

 

Note: If the user/group was newly created by the admin, it will not immediately appear in the Offline Address list. If this is the case and you do not find the user/group in the list, then continue to step 9. However, if you have seen and selected the sender, then jump to step 

 

9.     In the ‘Choose Sender Address: Offline Address List’ pop-up window, click on the Address Book dropdown and select Global Address List

 

10.     Again, type the first name of the user/group you want to send from. It should now be listed and you click to select it and click OK.

 

*notice how Infrastructure Health Checks was missing in the first search under step 8 and is now listed after the address list is changed.

 

  

 

11.    Click OK

 

 

12.    Lastly, confirm that the email sender has now changed from your name to the new address. Then proceed to send your email.
